Review: Gia Coppola first film was the winner. Ill admit that I made the mistake of reading a few reviews before going to the theater, all shallow and pretend to miss what is important, but they are influenced me to the point that I had planned to spend the movies after one hour. But when the time came, I could not leave. I was well absorbed and invested in the characters. I wanted to know how it worked for them, and I was disappointed.Several authors say this is a good first attempt, but it zigzags. He does not have much substance. It has no plot. All being well, in my opinion. I havent read James Franco short story on which the film is based, but I can say that Ms. Coppola has done an excellent job of writing a coherent story with a good story arc and enough trail to make it clear that three of the main characters - April, Teddy and Emily - learn something important enough to make your experience a change for the better end of the film. I 4, Fred, by revelation, if he can survive long enough to get it. What many have missed Ms. Coppola gets the truth here.Palo Alto faithfully reproduces the agony of adolescence, it's hard to understand things as adults can deceive / mislead us / handling, how to make the wrong choice, but always with a sense that they are driven to do exactly then. High school is not fun. Its something we suffer. And to be fair achievement to get out alive and moving in a better direction. Its been ages since I was in high school, and even though this generation is very different from my human nature has not changed, but the problems NAI has changed. I recognize every character, every situation, every wrong choice, the consequences. Particularly in relation to not knowing what to say, then do not say anything. But most importantly, I credit Ms. Coppola for this, I really care about these characters. I even had empathy for unsympathetic character. Thats good writing (Frank Coppola credit). And a very good result, considering the main characters that play Emma Roberts (highlights), Jack Kilmer, Zoe Levin, Nat Wolff and do not have much experience. I like to directors whose works say something meaningful about life and earn an honest emotion?. Ill be following Ms. Gia Coppola work. It is a beautiful film.
