Review: The Prince and the Pauper by Sweet Valley High, literature and fiction have held a particular fascination with the notion of doubles: two (or more & ugrave;) people who are physically similar but different, both in personality & agrave; or social status. Enemies Denis Villeneuve, applied mystery-this & egrave; psychological pi & ugrave; reflective of exciting, explores the idea that theres other people in the world who share your face, but, as if nothing else to do with you. Interesting, mostly ugrave & ;, but also in slow motion and finally professor frustrating.History Adam Bell (Jake Gyllenhaal) leads a boring, repetitive life: he teaches kids ungrateful of totalitarian dictatorships, broke the sex in most demure Her girl, probably Maria (M? Lanie Laurent), and rather random throughout the day in a haze of fatigue. But all things are egrave; his life changed when he blurred boring film in which, for a short time, he saw his. Apparently she has a doppelganger other: the actor does not entirely successful named Anthony St Claire. Adam becomes obsessed with meeting Anthony, and soon their lives irreparably entangled. There many ways to play a scenario like this: The enemy can & ograve; easily become a farce large (just add the pratfalls and double-takes), or the heart - stop thrill ride (mix in case of mistaken identity & agrave; life threatening). But Villeneuve has chosen a serious approach to the philosophy of Adams sad dilemma. The mixture was stirred to his mother (well-actress Isabella Rossellini) about the possibility & agrave; who has a twin, and Ba & ograve; in a state of intimate concern with Anthonys pregnant wife Helen (Sarah Gadon), but high drammaticit & agrave; proved elusive until the last ten minutes or more & ugrave ;. Film products, dipped in yellow, & egrave; dark and considered, bordering on lethargic rate as Adam stumbles through the crisis of its existence. Anyone looking for a simple answer or a clear message sar & agrave; disappointed. The enemy & egrave; much you have to do & egrave ;: full of ideas that never fully explored, the lives lived and the notion of identity & agrave ;, that viewers can take part at their leisure. In fact agrave & ;, this film & egrave; ended only when the pi & ugrave; mainstream, the accessible version of this story can & ograve; getting Started. Last Shot & egrave; less than cathartic outright confusion, stressing life really alien to where Adam & egrave; was found once chose to pursue Anthony.Whatever make a film, not c '& egrave; no doubt that this egrave &; part of the work Gyllenhaal & egrave; been done better in his career so far. He lived two characters well, slipping into the skin as easily & agrave; Adams disappointed with where he found the confidence Anthonys Brash. This is not egrave &; really a movie, but he was able to receive support from Laurent, you breathe in personality & agrave; a thin paper. He helped make it especially interesting that, when it really counts, Mary - despite having less seemingly happy relationship with Adam - prove more & ugrave; able to tell the two men apart Helen.Almost brave enemy refuses to go down any any way you expect it when a man urt & ograve; for case two to the right. It jump into sci-fi territory, indicating that they are clones; are not dipping into melodrama suggesting that might be twins separated at birth. Instead, stating in no uncertain terms the facts - there were two men with facial Gyllenhaals around the world - and drifts after the revelation in a serious art house, refusing to tie the ends & agrave; loose or offer any easy conclusions. It makes for an interesting movie, if not very satisfactory.
